Some Leading Doctors - Claim Placebo Effects?
As with all practitioners there are good and there are bad, so this is not about 'medical doctor' bashing, as I know some very good doctors, but I also know some very poor ones just the same as within Alternative / Complementary practitioners.
Recently some leading doctors have claimed that Homoeopathy only has placebo effects and basically that it does not work as a treatment?
These claims can only be made due to one of the following :
1) Who is backing their claims / research, the Pharmacology industry?
2) Why have we not heard these 'champions' of health speak out against such drugs as Vioxx or the sweetener Aspartame as two examples?
3) If Homoeopathic remedies are administered to animals who persuaded the animals that they actually work, or were they persuaded by their owners or the TV in their room or stable or were the animals given Homoeopathy after a consultation with Dr. Doolittle?
One example being cows with mastitis, with Homoeopathy administered via their drinking trough in the field, who persuaded the cows that this was a placebo and would diminish or resolve their mastitis? This has been proven many times, not just once.
4) Some doctors claim a placebo effect because they have little or no knowledge of Homoeopathy or its concepts for use.
5) If Homoeopathy does not work, why do doctors use vaccinations diluted with the same concepts of treatment as Homoeopathy?
6) Homoeopathy has what is known as 'proving symptoms' of a remedy, why are double blind trails not used in proving pharmaceutical drugs if they are so effective, instead of the opposite double blind trials? (see 3 below)
Interesting facts:
1) The Godfather of medicine Hippocrates is described as being a Homoeopath first or used Homoeopathic concepts in remedies to treat people?
2) The Hippocratic Oath, in theory states "do no harm", in actuality the Hippocratic oath does NOT state this but doctors even when given 'scientific' information disregard it?
3) Iatrogenic damage is increasing, or putting the boot on the other foot its just a placebo, as stated by one of the pharmaceutical industries leaders, now that they are moving more towards "genetic treatments", in that doctors actually know or knew that over 90% of drugs do not work, but doctors still keep prescribing them, why?
