| Headaches / Migraines
These can be caused by a number of problems that at times may seem unrelated to the actual headache / migraine being experienced by the person. It could be a food related reaction that sort of comes and goes. This is caused by what can be best described as an overload of a particular food or within the food, there what as known as phenolics. These phenolics can be reoccurring within the foods that you are eating.
An example of a phenolic is Acetaldehyde this can be within the following food products : Apple; Avocado; Banana; Blackberry; Blueberry; Broccoli; Corn; Cucumber; Grapes; Grapefruit; Haddock; Honey; Hops; Mushrooms; Oranges; Peaches; Pears; Pineapple; Strawberries; Tomatoes; Watermelon; Yeast. Acetaldehyde can also be in your house more than you think and 'out gassing' into the room or rooms ? Its in carpets, upholstery, curtains all sorts of what would be termed common household items. It's also used in clothes, so basically you have to be a detective in knowing what to look for and then finding it, see
The way in which foods are cooked or made ready for eating can be another area that is commonly missed, try cooking your food a different way, but don't use a microwave, throw the damn thing out !! People complain about nuclear fuels, but are quite happy radiating their food ? Digestive problems can be another 'trigger' that may be recognised by the person or not ? Physical injury or problems with mobility in the cervical (neck) and upper back can also be contributing factors. Sinus related problems can be caused by many triggers as well. Dental / TMJ problems are also another factor that should be taken into consideration. House furnishings can also be another insidious cause, people do react to them. Stress can exacerbate all of the above problems and it can be a 2 way street in that one of the above can be causing the stress, but yet stress is blamed. As a clinic we can assess which of the areas mentioned above is the instigator of these problems. After your case history has been taken and you have been assessed then we can offer treatments or advice as to which would be the best way to start addressing your problem. |
