Some Leading Doctors - Claim Placebo Effects ?

As with all practitioners there are good and there are bad, so this is not about 'doctor' bashing, as I know some very good doctors, but I also know some very bad ones just the same as within Alternative / Complementary practitioners.

Recently some leading doctors have claimed that Homoeopathy has only placebo effects and basically it doesn't work as a 'medicine' / treatment.

These claims can maybe made due to one of the following :

1)     Who is backing their claims / research, the Pharmacology industry ?

2)    Why have we not heard these 'champions' of health speak out against such drugs as Vioxx or Aspartame as two examples ?

Magic Bullets ?                             Aspartame Toxicity

3)    If its a placebo effect then Mr. Edd, the TV horse does exist !

As when Homoeopathic remedies given to animals actually work, or were they persuaded by their owners or the TV in their room or stable or were they given them by Dr. Doolittle after a consultation ?

4)    Little or no knowledge of Homoeopathy and its concepts for use.

Interesting facts :

1)    The Godfather of medicine Hippocrates was a Homoeopath first or used Homoeopathic concepts in remedies to treat people ?

2)    The Hippocratic Oath, states do no harm, so why do doctors even when given 'scientific' information disregard it ?

3)    Iatrogenic damage is increasing or maybe putting the boot on the other foot its just a placebo ?
